Intermediate Tennis

This Intermediate Tennis program is designed for adults who have previously had coaching and/or play tennis regularly and want to improve their game.

Classes will focus on improving your technique and we will develop your movement and ball placement on shots.

For the Monday class;

  • The total program is 9 weeks in duration.
  • The first 7 weeks are lessons, whilst the last two weeks are for make-up lessons in case of bad weather during the term.
  • If there is no rain during the first 7 weeks of lessons, then we’ll gladly offer an extra 2 lessons during the last two weeks of term.
  • There are no lessons on the 11th June as it’s a public holiday long weekend.

For the Tuesday class:

  • The total program is 10 weeks in duration.
  • The first 8 weeks are lessons, whilst the last two weeks are for make-up lessons in case of bad weather during the term.
  • If there is no rain during the first 8 weeks of lessons, then we’ll gladly offer an extra 2 lessons during the last two weeks of term.

Course content – Monday’s
Week 1: You will work on accuracy, efficiency with your movement and rallying

Week 2: You will be working on serving and point play

Week 3: You will be working on volleys and smashes. Net workouts will be incorporated into some fun and challenging games

Week 4: Serving and point play is the focus this week.

Week 5: Tactical advice and game plans.

Week 6: Lobs and passing shots, Cross court rallying

Off Week: Public Holiday, no lessons

Week 7: Singles and doubles skills and practice

Week 8: Game Play / make up lessons

Week 9: Game Play / make up lessons
